Position Description

The Support Analyst Trainee’s role at Nexcess is to observe and learn advanced Linux administration, specific to hosting operations. This is a temporary position for candidates with outstanding customer service skills and a fundamental understanding of Linux. At the commencement of the temporary assignment, Support Analyst Trainees are expected to have completed Linux+ and / or LPIC certifications, and receive a promotion to Tier 1 Linux Support Analyst.

Candidates should have a basic understanding of Linux command-line operations (e.g. creating and editing files, navigating the file system) as well as an understanding of basic network connectivity (e.g. what DNS does, IP addressing).

Upon completion of the program, successful candidates may be asked to work nights and / or weekends.
